Refund Policy

How refunds work.

Last updated: September 13, 2026

This page explains how refunds work for a wdpw subscription: what you pay for, when a payment is and is not refunded, and how to cancel. It expands on section 4 of the Terms of Service. If this page and the Terms of Service ever disagree, the Terms of Service govern.

If you ordered food from a restaurant that uses wdpw and want your money back for that order, go to section 8.

1. The short version

  • wdpw has a free trial. Use it to confirm wdpw fits your restaurant before you pay.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable once paid, except where the law requires a refund.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancelling does not refund what you have already paid for the current billing period.
  • We do not reprice a subscription mid-term, and we give at least 30 days’ notice of a material price change at renewal.
  • Charged by mistake? That is a billing error, not a refund request — see section 5.

2. Try wdpw before you pay

Restaurants can start on a free trial, and restaurants switching from Foodics get an extended 60-day trial. Because paid fees are not refunded, the trial is the time to set up a branch, run real orders, and check that wdpw does what you need.

There is no setup fee and no per-device or per-cashier licence fee — what you pay is the subscription for your plan. Published list prices are annual and in Egyptian pounds; see Pricing.

3. Subscription fees are non-refundable

Paid plans are billed for the billing period agreed at sign-up, and payments are processed by our payment partners. Once a billing period has been paid, its fee is not refunded. That includes when:

  • you cancel part-way through the billing period;
  • you stop using wdpw, or use it less than you planned;
  • you close a branch, or use fewer branches or staff accounts than your plan allows; or
  • your access is suspended or terminated because the Terms of Service were breached.

This does not limit a refund the law entitles you to (section 4), and it does not apply to charges made in error (section 5).

4. Where the law requires a refund

Nothing on this page takes away a right to a refund that applicable law gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract. The Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt (section 14), subject to any mandatory consumer protection law that applies to you. If you believe the law entitles you to a refund, email us and explain why, and we will review the request against the law that applies to your subscription.

5. Charges made in error

A charge that should not have happened is a billing error, and section 3 does not apply to it. That includes being charged twice for the same period, being charged a different amount from your invoice or agreed plan, and being charged after your cancellation took effect.

Email [email protected] from the account owner’s email address with the invoice or payment reference, the date and amount charged, and what you expected to be charged. We will investigate it with our payment partner and correct any error we find.

6. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected] from the account owner’s email address. For security, billing and account changes are confirmed by reply from the registered owner email, not over chat. Cancelling does not refund the fee for the current billing period.

Export your data before you go. After termination you can export your data for 30 days; after that it is deleted within 180 days, subject to legal retention requirements such as tax records (Terms of Service, section 12).

7. Renewals and price changes

We do not change the price of an existing subscription part-way through its term. If the price of your renewal changes materially, we will tell you at least 30 days before the renewal date, so you have time to decide whether to renew.

8. Refunds on a restaurant order

If you ordered from a restaurant that uses wdpw — at the counter, by scanning a QR code, over WhatsApp, or through a delivery app — this policy does not cover that order. wdpw makes the restaurant’s software; the restaurant sold you the order and sets its own refund rules.

  • Ask the restaurant. Restaurant managers can refund a paid order, in full or in part, from wdpw.
  • If you paid online by card or mobile wallet, the money goes back through the payment provider once the restaurant issues the refund. Card refunds can take 3–5 business days to reach your account.
  • If you ordered through a delivery app, ask that app first — it took your order, and its own refund rules apply.

We cannot issue a refund on a restaurant’s behalf. If the restaurant does not respond, email us with the restaurant, branch and order date, and we will let the restaurant know.
